About This Section

This section of Back Porch Brush Field Guide deals with painters in Long Beach, CA and nothing else, which is what allows it to get specific.

Scope

The scope here is deliberately tight. Long Beach, CA has its own conditions, and guidance written for somewhere else is often quietly wrong here.

What Gets Written About

Guides concentrate on judgement calls rather than procedure. The decisions a homeowner makes are almost always about specification and sequence, not about how a tool is held.

Independence

Back Porch Brush Field Guide has no stake in which firm a reader ends up hiring. There is no directory to buy into and no listing fee, because there is no directory.

What Guides Cannot Do

Guides describe the general case. It is background, meant to make the conversation with a contractor a more informed one.
